Location-Check: Burg Plesse / Castle Plesse

Burg Plesse
Die Plesseburg in Bovenden bei Göttingen ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Auch wir (Frau S. und ich) waren schon öfters dort. Für ein kleines Shooting mit Freunden am kommenden Mittwoch suchten wir noch eine Location, bei der keine Gebäude die Sicht auf den Sonnenuntergang behindern.
Die Idee war es unter anderem Portrait-Fotos bei Gegenlicht und tiefstehender Sonne zu machen. Die Plesseburg ist sehr hoch gelegen und bietet viel Platz für solche Bilder an der Burgmauer. Auch ansonsten ist die Ruine eine schöne Kulisse mit verschiedenen Mauern, Durchgängen und dichtem Wald als Hintergrund. Daher beschlossen wir der Ruine einen Besuch ab zu statten um unsere Erinnerungen auf zu frischen und für unsere Freunde ein paar Location-Fotos an zu fertigen. Da ich diese durchaus sehenswert finde, möchte ich diese hier kurz präsentieren, sozusagen als Vorschau für den Blogbericht über das Shooting (der hoffentlich bald kommt).

The Plesseburg near the village Bovenden North of our hometown Göttingen is a popular Destination for short Trips. We were looking for a Location for a photosession with some friends, with a good an clear view of the sunset.
The Idea was to take Portraits with the sunset in the background. The Castle stands high above the village an there is a lot of space for such Pictures at the castle wall. Apart from that the ruins gives a nice scenery with its walls and the Woods in Background. This was why we decided to visit the old Castle again and take a few Pictures for our friends of the Location, so they had a better Impression. The Pictures are a Kind of preview for the Blogpost about the photosession (which I hope to finish soon.)

Morning Show: Lost Places - Lidl

Lost Places - verlassene Lidl-Filiale

Nachdem ich hier nun meist die eher schönen Seiten meins morgendlichen Wegs zur Arbeit abgebildet habe, hier nun ein eher nicht so ansehnlicher Ort. Jeden morgen komme ich an der verlassenen Lidl-Filiale am Maschmühlenweg vorbei. Früher habe ich dort auf dem Weg zur Arbeit das eine oder andere Frühstück gekauft, oder auf dem Heimweg frische Zutaten für ein Abendessen.
Letztes Jahr wurde das Geschäft geschlossen. Über die Gründe war nichts zu erfahren, weder aus Gesprächen mit den Angestellten, noch aus den Tiefen des Netzes. Die Filiale war zwar 2010 Ort eines Überfalls, was aber wohl nichts mit der Schließung zu tun haben dürfte.

Lost Places - closed Discounter Shop
Until now I only published Pictures of the nice Views of my way to work. Today I would like to Show you one of the more unpleasend views. Every morning I am passing the closed shop of the Discounter "Lidl" at the Maschmuelenweg. Sometimes I used to by breakfast there on my way to work, or on the way back fresh ingredients for dinner.
The shop was closed last year. I could not find out why, neither by taling to People working in the shop, nor in the abbyses of the web. In 2010 the shop was robbed, but I doub that this was the reason.
